The Summa Health System library offers comprehensive library services: print and electronic resources, interlibrary loan services, and a bookstore. A staff of three professional librarians and one bookstore technician, is available to respond to your information needs. The staffed hours of the library are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday. Residents may use the library 24 hours per day via the security system.
An in-house network with several end-user stations provides access to full MEDLINE (back to 1966) and OhioLINK databases. The library is a member of the Council of Hospital Libraries of the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine and several other consortia, facilitating timely interlibrary loan services.
A bookstore, located within the library, stocks a basic inventory of popular texts and handbooks, stethoscopes and other small medical equipment, with a prompt order service for standard medical books not carried in inventory.
