Thank you for your interest in the General Practice Dental Residency at Summa Health System in Akron, Ohio. Our dental program is located in an institution of Medical and Dental Education comprising 13 residencies, a house staff of 200, a facility of 1,200 beds, and a Level 1 trauma center.
The Center for Dental Health (CDH) is dedicated to resident education using advanced high technology equipment and a strong clinical and academic educational program. The patient population is large enough to provide a wide variety of experiences for both inpatient and outpatient care.
All Summa residents have the same benefits and compensation. The many medical rotations which dental residents will experience will provide an education in patient dental care which most recent graduates do not receive in dental school.
